The Downfall of W5H

W5H

In English/Lang. arts we're working on speeches and I eventually came to a decision and chose The Downfall of Camelot which is an awesome subject because my parents and I watch a show about the legend and we watch about an episode each night. Last night my dad and I looked on Google for info about it and in some versions Arthur married his daughter Guinevere, which is majorly disgusting but I like to believe otherwise. Also his son, Mordred who is his half-sister's, sister's son which would make Mordred his son and nephew I think. But that's besides the point, Mordred and his half brother plan to reveal the relationship of Guinevere and Lancelot who were secretly in love while G was already married or courting Arthur. That just makes me mad, the fact that she can't tell Arthur straight up that she's in love with Lancelot who is supposed to be Arthur's best friend which is just wrong. Anyways that's how the whole ordeal occurred and yeah you guys will hear it in my speech.
Yesterday my stupid French teacher kept us inside for a detention, she's such a b*tch seriously. So then after the dreadful minutes Elisa, Trisha, and I went to go find out about W5H and then we just went to the staffroom, went to photocopy something for a teacher etc. etc.
But seriously only five of us showed up: Normand, Elisa, Trisha, Jessielyn, and I. Today during practice it was really fun because of the jokes, hilarious answers, etc. etc. and I honestly hated when someone answered, I mean most of the time she would roll her eyes as if this was beneath her. WELL HER AND HER STUPID TEHE SHIT CAN JUST LEAVE MAN.
When I went to go deliver lunches today, my friend and I were talking about death sentences and I really believe that those countries/states that have them are extremely stupid and just don't get the point of religion or figures that people worship. I mean just because a human being killed another human does not mean they deserve to die, because if you give them a death sentence then your just as bad as they are. Just because something begins with death doesn't mean it has to end in death. People don't understand the concept of life, people are supposed to live, breathe, and have freedom, I know a family that lost someone would want the killer dead, but what will that solve? Seriously. My dad told me that it's not right if people DON'T have the right to kill yet the law DOES. It should be either NO ONE CAN KILL or EVERYONE CAN. I do realize that murderers can not wander free, especially psychopaths because they can kill again, but that does not give a government the right to give them a death sentence. They say that its trying to rid the world of insane mass murderers, but with all the people past, present, and people that are going to die from these sentences doesn't that make THEM killers too? And how many more people will the government kill just because of the crimes they committed? The thing is is that if people aren't allowed to kill, then why is the law? Why do people with unfair judgement who see with a blind eye get to kill people and not the most fair and open-minded people? In my opinion, I believe that murderers should die peacefullyor naturally like everyone else, the only exception being that their in jail for their crimes. I'm a Catholic, so killing someone is a dreadful sin, the worst one, yet in the government, people of the same religion and different are killing because that one person made a mistake or that one person did something they regret or something that they love doing. No one deserves to die no matter what the situation, and if people can't realize that then this world is going to end in misery and despair. It's not like I'm going to change the world with this right now, because I'm still in grade eight, but some day I want to make a difference even if it's just in my community.
Oh, another thing that I really disagree on is the fact that governments are still putting old people in prison because they fought with the Germans in World War 2. I mean seriously that was 60 years ago!And if it is those old men who were young boys back in the 1940's they didn't know what they were doing, and Hitler, whether you like it or not WAS a leader. Even though he was doing it for the wrong reasons, he still was. Just imagine some of the world's greatest leaders today or in the past imagine one of them turning bad, and leading people for the wrong reasons, that is Hitler. These old men that did not know what they were doing at the time can not be blamed anymore. That war has ended, which means that you shouldn't hold a grudge on anyone because in the end it'll bite you back in the ass.
Goodbye for now.
Alex
